Description
For Hörmann industrial doors we need the typenumber of the spring or the measurement of the spring to identify it. The type number of the spring is on a white plastic label on the spring, on the older garage doors is on an aluminum label on the spring. The typenumber of the spring may can also be found on the dataplate. The typenumber can be found on the end of the spring or on the garage door dataplate. If you do not find the typenumber than measure the spring and write the measured data by email. The springs are shotblasted and paint coated. The opening number is the same as the original or exceeded the original’s. We determine their opening number individually. To calculate the exact opening number for each spring we need the turning number which you find on the garage door dataplate. The normal series is sometimes longer than the original spring. When adjusting, you should put the original turns. The turning number is written on the Hörmann garage door.
Do not change both springs, if you do not have enough money for it. It is possible, that the spring can last for 1 more year. If you are able to buy both springs in same time financially, then I suggest you do it so. In this case, there will be only 1 installation cost.
