Spring identification
You must change both of the springs on your garage door, otherwise it can pull the garage door to one side. The new springs are more tighter than the old, stretched out spring. Therefore it is not certain that it has to be hung up the same height (not the same hole as earlier) with the older spring. When adjusting, release the garage door operator mechanically and operate it manually. If you have adjusted correctly, the garage door will be moving easily by hand. Six months later move the garage door manually again and if needed adjust the tension of the spring.
With this method you protect the operator, so it does not have to lift the weight unnecessarily.
